I particularly like your reference to Bishop Berkely because he was a hardcore empirist and from there made a very spiritualistic/theocentric ontology. I actually explore this topic on a video of mine called "Why You Shouldn't Pray To a Garbage Can". At first glance it is about praying to false idols and then getting sent to "hell" for sinning, but in a deeper analysis the false idols end up being all idols (including the Christian God, Billy, etc.)
The girl would represent the hardcore theocentric idealist and the guy is more the down-to-earth empirist (talking about day to day things, saying how she's not there anymore, etc.) The question is: is she doomed for having had fake ideals from the beginning, or is he doomed for not understanding the cross over that she made into a "higher" plane, meaning, is it worse to not have hope or to have that hope be false?
The girl in the video basically would fit with the stereotypical idealist and the guy with the stereotypical empirist (always saying she's gone, when maybe she's not).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ze5p6eA8V8AAntes Era Doshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15186328436675299588noreply@blogger.com
